Wednesday 5

1. Mrs W. I LOVE her, you know as much as you can love your childs teacher. Even though we homeschool, Jackson goes to the school for some "special" services. Anyway, he has THE BEST teacher. I adore her! She has such a positive attitude about everything and I'm so happy that he gets to spend time with her every week.

2. Maroon 5. I love there music so much I could marry it. LM doesn't care for the lead singer, he says he sounds too much like Michael Jackson...shrug. I still like them even though there latest album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, is a bit bitter. It's this weeks favorite album.

3. A clean living room on days, like today, when I get 4 different surprise visits from people. Unfortunately, I had chosen the wrong day not to get out of jammies. Oh well, at least my house was clean.

4. Really awesome friends that feed all 6 of us at the spur of the moment. We lost power the other night, right when LM was getting dinner started. So, they invited us over. Not only was it totally cool of them but it was delicious. :) We love you Jay and Carrie!

5. Puzzles. I know I know, I'm a nerd! I can't help myself.

More Snow Pictures:
Princess found out that gravely snow doesn't taste very good. hahahahahaJackson some how got snow up his nose. I don't know's Jackson.

Sadly, the most interesting thing in my life right now is the weather. Yeah... my life is like that right now... your welcome to send your condolences.

Last night, after the kids had gone to bed, LM and I were playing a game when I noticed that our deck looked kind of funny. It took a few seconds to realize that there was SNOW! Since I'm a tired mother that did not want to wake the kids and then have to go through putting them back to bed, I made a wish that the snow would stay till morning so the kids could see it. My wish came true!

It only takes one child saying the word snow, to put the whole house into a frenzy finding hats, gloves, boots and warm clothes.

Princess was one of the first to be dressed and ready to play in the snow.
15 minutes later, she was the first to go back inside. I guess she didn't care for the cold that comes with snow.
Jackson noticed the snow first and made sure EVERYONE knew that there was snow. I'm sure our neighbors are thankful for the early morning wake up. He was also too happy to start throwing snow on everyone, even his innocent, loving, sweet mother who was inappropriately dressed for the occasion and yelling "I have the camera, you can't throw snow on me."
Sara was his next victim. Doesn't she look happy?
Sara chewing out Jackson for being so rude.
She recovered from the trauma and enjoyed the rest of her playing time in the snow.
Bubby, was very happy to tell me all about the snow. he had a few problems like when he was trying to shake the snow off his glove, his glove came off then not a moment later, he was kicking the snow and his boot came off.
Here's our friend Carrie, helping Bub back in his boot and putting his glove back on. Sadly, Carrie couldn't stay to play in the snow with us.

Fave 5

1. The sun! I love you sun, you and all your shiny goodness! Even though it's colder than Antarctica, I have really enjoyed having the sun shining. 3 whole days of sun. I'm so happy! I forgot what it looked like and how it makes me feeling seeing it in the sky. It gives me hope that Winter will end and in a couple of months the flowers will be blooming and the ground will dry up and it will be green and beautiful!

2. When Bubby takes a nap. He's been particularly... ummm....what's the term???? Oh...a big pain in the rear! What's up with 2 year olds? He's making me crazy. I'm desperate to find something I like about him this week. I do like it when he sleeps. He's so cute, he's a thumb sucker so he's usually got his thumb in his mouth and his rear in the air. How do kids sleep like that anyway??? And why do I keep asking you questions????
This is what Bubby has been looking like this week. I could almost feel sorry for him...but I don't.

3. I love Cinnamon raisin bread. I just do.

4. When our kids stay in their beds all night. I miss it....

5. Cold Cereal and all it's sugary goodness. It keeps me from having to make breakfast. Even Emily can do it and I can usually get her to get Bubby a bowl.

We have sun, I repeat we have sun! I almost fainted and it's even been out ALL day. Unfortunately the weather gods hate me and made it so frickin cold outside that my hands and face froze off. FRICK!!!! WHY????? WHY tease me like that you stupid weather!!!!! (shakes fist at sky)

Chilalas, fights and other favorites

Today's top 5 are:
1. I love how Emily calls Bruiser our Chihuahua, Boozer the Chalala. I love it so much that I started calling him Boozer. Emily will one day be one of those dog owners that carries her dog in her purse. If I would let her, she would never let Boozers feet touch the ground. Doesn't he look thrilled??? haha

2. I love it when all of us are driving together, we repeat all the lines from Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie and The Simpsons Movie. My favorite lines are Squidwards "Some people have no taste in headgear" or my very favorite line, "Too bad Spongebobs not here to enjoy Spongebob not being here. " It makes me giggle just thinking about it. LOL
3. I love the way Sara argues with Jackson, it's always the same. She will hear a new word and start using it in her arguments. This is how it goes:
Sara: You make me so mad you (insert large word).
Jackson: What??? I don't even know what that means.
Sara: (she growls with her fists in tight balls down at her sides) Don't you know anything?????
This weeks new word is demise. As in: Jackson is going to be the cause of her demise.

4. Unemployment. I know, I didn't think I would like it but since it's only been a week, I'll like it today. Since Love Machine is home during the day, I was able to take not 1 but 2 naps last week. It was AWESOME! I don't remember the last time that happened. I don't hate cooking as much when he's home because it means that he makes sure the kids aren't at my feet crying and whining about my cooking. I could almost like cooking if it was like this all the time....ALMOST. I was able to make a discovery, I found out that we don't have enough hangers. I didn't know that! Usually by the time I have time to fold and hang up the clothes, the dirty pile is larger then the clean pile.
5. I love the sound of Bubby's laugh. It's the most sincere, real laugh. The sound immediately makes me giggle.

I was just informed by LM that my blog is lacking luster. Sorry guys, my shine isn't shining today. Hopefully, I'll be back to my normal chipper self next week.

That was a good one! Thanks for the jokes! lol

Juan, thanks for the offer, I'll keep you in mind when the cashola runs low.

Good News, LM has already has a prospect for a new job. He has sent his resume out to a few places and one will be calling in the next day or two to set up an interview. WOOT! We are both going through the emotional roller coaster. One minute we are sooo happy that he doesn't have to go back to his old job and feel so sure that a new job is coming then 5 mins. later I feel vomitty from fear that he won't find anything and we'll lose the house and vehicles. I just keep reminding myself that it's not the end of the world and we're only 2 days into unemployment.

Today's favorite 5!!!! For some strange reason, it was tough to come up with my favorite 5.

1. When LM does the dishes, laundry, makes dinner and changes diapers. I love it and it doesn't happen often enough. The best part of unemployment is that he has become really helpful. :) I guess it's not as bad as I think it is.

2. Blue October, Foiled For The Last Time CD. I love it more every time I play it, I especially like the live cd. There's something comforting about slit your wrists depressing music. Like, things could always be worse.
3. Rainboots. I love them! I wish I had a cool pair in my size! Bubby lives in his firetruck boots, they were the best $20 I spent last year!

4. Chocolate chip cookies. Yum! They are my #1 favorite cookie with raisin oatmeal in a close 2nd. mmmm I need to make cookies tomorrow. I'm sure that'll make me feel sooooo much better.

5. The time between when the kids go to bed and when I go to bed. I love the sweet sound of silence. It's so...silent. I forget how noisy our house is till the kids are asleep. Wow... our kids are NOISY!

In search of jobs and jokes

Love Machine lost his job today, we knew it was coming, just not this soon so he's out looking for a job for the first time in over 9 years. Prayers, positive thoughts are welcome and appreciated. Luckily, for me I married a man that has SKILLZ and I have complete faith in God and LM to find a job that will bring him joy again. I LOVE YOU LOVE MACHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to say that I'm a bit relieved that he never has to go back there but also a tad bit freaked. I need to laugh and I need to laugh now! Sooooo, this is my request for any and all jokes. Luckily, I had a good start thanks to Jenny and of course the star Sara. Not that I'm calling Sara a joke, cause I'm not, but that video is hilarious. Thanks for the sacrifice Sara, I really do appreciate it! I know I can count on you guys to get me laughing.

HA! Guess who got her Family Newsletter In???

I mean seriously, I can't change Wednesdays Favorite 5 to Thursday. That's just not how it works. Plus who knows what I have going on tomorrow.

Todays Favorite 5:

1, 2, 3. Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer....they're books by the way. A friend of mine recommended Twilight to me over a year ago so I finally put it on my Christmas list. I was half way through the first book when I decided that I had to go and get the next two before I was finished with the first because I didn't want to be left wondering what happens next. It's one of those "Just one more chapter" books. They're easy reads, you can find the books in the Youth Section of your book store. Should I be embarrassed that I love a "Youth" book??? Never in my life would I ever thought that I would enjoy a book with vampires and werewolves but I'm happy to be wrong. Steph, I know you don't read books but that's ok, they are making the first book into a movie (with an actress that I don't like).

4. Time to read books. I was so happy that the past few days have been free so I could read as much as I liked. My house also looks like I read as much as a like.

5. A husband that was happy that I spent all day in my jammies reading books. Well, maybe not the jammies part but he was happy that I could have time to read. I love you Love Machine!

Happy New Year to everyone!
