Happy 'The Election Is Over' Day!!!!!!

Unlike most of America, I don't have cable so all the campaigning wasn't in my face EVERYDAY unless I checked the news on the net...which I do once a day but don't always read the articles, just scan the headlines...just keepin it real. So my 2 cents might not even be worth that BUT I'm glad it's over and though I don't agree with Obama, I'm feeling hopeful for our country. I think for the first time in a REALLY long time we can finally see that no matter your race, gender or religion, anything is possible. He's going to be the example to those that hold themselves back or use excuses to not be or do something better. I was even touched by this speech, it was beautiful and I do realize it's just a speech and actions are stronger than words, but it left me with a feeling of hope. I think hope is big, especially now when this country is in such a mess, hope can change this country...maybe Cathe's optimism is getting to me. Plus, I was watching a short video from The View, and they had a numerologist and a psychic on and they both said that Obama was going to win and this coming year is going to get better...so that's good news....

I loved his acceptance speech too. I can feel the winds of change & I'm letting my hair blow in them.

But I swear, if he appoints Oprah to some cabinet position I'm moving to London.

Well said.

I loved both the speeches, and am hoping for some unity, and without Oprah.

I'm with you Landee, I'm not interested in Oprah being in charge of anything in the government..but then again, I wouldn't mind living in London....

I like McCain, I'm kind of bummed for him but with the country the way it is, I couldn't see him winning...there was just no way...plus how many celebrities supported him??? Maybe if there were more, we could have taken it...damn celebrities!

I'm with you on that one, Landee...

And, I thought John McCain's speech was very gracious, considering all the bad blood between those two. He could have been a butthead, (and has been on occasion), but he wasn't.

I just hope Obama isn't as socialist as he appears.

Hmmm.....thats about all I have to say

Michelle, I'm pretty sure he's as socialist as he appears...to bad he doesn't live in a socialist country, he'd be perfect.

There was a psychic on the Maury Show that said they will be inventing a pill to cure autism. The Views psychic's prediction better not interfere with Maury's psychic!!!

Thank heavens for those numerologists and psychics. What a relief to know that!

I predict that Obama will start a national book club and appoint Oprah as the president and she'll pick only depressing books that contain child abuse of some sort.

Oh my gosh Jenny, are you psychic too???? SAWEEEEEET! Can you tell me if LM will be getting a new job soon?

You are lucky you didn't have cable. I am glad to not hear the political bashing any more. Our local Las Vegas politicians ran a lot of commercials and by the time it was time to vote I thought all our local politicians were bad (which is true being most of the last batch are all in jail)

Do you think someone should tell Warren Buffet (a capitalist) that he is supporting a socialist? What was the guy thinking?!
