I quit

World of Warcrack yesterday. Cold Turkey, luckily, I'm not alone. LM quit cold turkey too. I'm still going through withdrawals, but, thankfully this kind of withdrawal doesn't give me headaches or make me nauseasted. Instead I seem to have alot of time on my hands to spring clean, finish the laundry, catch up on my reading, listen to the first song on Jespy's playlist over and over and over and over..etc. , find a cure for cancer, catch up on blogs, end war and I might try to squeeze in a nap.

I'm only telling you this so I don't have to look at my cheesy grin every time I log onto my computer. Instead you can see the whole Cooper clan and our cheesy 70's grins.
Your welcome.

p.s. Mom, do you have a copy of this picture? I'd like to get a new copy that doesn't include a red marker stain on your face.

Ohhh, that is so cute! Are you the one in the blue dress?

Good luck going cold turkey. I did that once with candy. I won't tell you how it turned out.

But what will happen to your avatar? Will she starve? Be eaten by Orcs? So sad.

Love the picture, BTW.

Going cold turkey is never fun. I'll keep sending good thoughts your way.

Her "avatar", or character (or toon) as those of us with REAL nerd cred call it, is gone. All of them.

As are mine. We agreed that leaving them in place would simply be too much of a temptation so we deleted all of ours. It was painful. Personally I had over 5500 hours of play time across all my various characters (well at least the ones I gave a crap about).

That's right... 5500 hours... If WOW isn't more addictive than cocaine than nothing is.

Katie: yup that's me and thankfully, i think quitting wow will be way easier then quitting candy. I heart candy big time...especially Swedish Fish.

Jespy: Yeah...my toons are gone gone gone. Not even dead, they like no longer exist... I can't dwell on it otherwise I'll get like all depressed...

LM: I'm so glad I wasn't as addicted to it as you...

p.s. if LM comes back on here telling you that I spent a ton of hours playing...he's lying...honest

I would never recommend quitting ANYTHING cold turkey but I guess there are extreme cases where this is necessary.... are there no medical detox programs for WOW? It sounds like if we started one it'd be like printing money.... that and opening a bail bonds outfit.

Thats a great photo of your fam. The one with the red marker is better than the original too I am sure. So typical to have coloring on photos and books.
Congrats on quitting cold turkey. Hope it goes ok. I've never played that game before by I've heard of some people that totally lose touch with reality by being hooked on it.
